India: AREVA signs a strategic agreement in the field of renewable energy

Anne Lauvergeon, AREVA CEO and Professor Prem Kumar Kalra, Director of India's Institute of Technology (IIT) in Rajasthan located in Jodhpur, signed a research and development cooperation agreement in the field of solar thermal. This agreement will support the development of concentrated solar thermal power in India. Solar energy is one of the cornerstones of india’s integrated energy policy, helping to reduce India's carbon footprint.
AREVA intend to contribute to the development of renewable energy sources in India. The group aims to position itself as a strategic actor in this domain.
