One cask of used fuel from the Italian storage site of Avogadro in Saluggia (Italian Piemont) arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving the AREVA La Hague plant on February 8, 2011 at 12:05 PM.
The used nuclear fuel will be treated to recover valuable materials and to package the ultimate waste for return to Italy.
