As part of its commitment to the health field, particularly healthcare access and support for the families of the hospitalized, AREVA Foundation is renewing its commitment to the “Tête en l’air” association (literally, “head in the air”) for a period of one year.
With the help of one employee and 23 volunteers, the association assists families of children undergoing neurosurgery and helps them when they return to daily life.
In France, 4,500 children undergo neurosurgery every year, 1,200 of them at the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris, which has Europe’s largest pediatric neurosurgery department.
