Jean Huby is appointed Executive Vice President of the AREVA group’s Offshore Wind business.

Jean hubyJean Huby is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the École des Mines, and also holds a postgraduate degree in economics.
He began his career in 2000 working as an engineer for the Solétanche-Bachy group (now the Vinci group) before joining the mobile telephony division of SAGEM (now Safran).
In 2002 he moved to the European Commission. He was appointed as assistant to Philip Lowe, Director General for Competition, in 2005 before becoming advisor to European Commissioner Jacques Barrot in 2007.
In September 2008, Jean Huby was appointed Senior Vice President, Strategy at AREVA.
In February 2011 he moved to the Renewable Energies Business Group as Deputy Senior Vice President before going on to head AREVA Wind where he will steer development of the group’s numerous offshore wind projects.
