Used nuclear fuel coming from the Netherlands to France

According to the contract signed between EPZ (operator of the Borssele nuclear power plant in the Netherlands) and AREVA, and following intergovernmental agreements between France and the Netherlands, the used fuel from Borssele nuclear power plant is sent to France for treatment.
In accordance with these commitments, a shipment of three casks containing used fuel has left Borssele NPP on June 7, 2011. It could reach the TN International railway terminal located in Valognes in the Manche French region on June 8, 2011.
This operation fully complies with national and international regulations.
