In 2011, AREVA continues to be involved in the communities in which the group is based by supporting two major exhibitions in Avignon and Montélimar, as well as the extension of the Utah Beach Museum in Normandy.
“Egypt the Magnificent”, an exhibition of the Calvet Museum in Avignon from June 25 to November 14, 2011, presents nearly 400 works on ancient Egypt.
At the Montélimar museum of contemporary art, meanwhile, the Bernard Cathelin retrospective offers a hundred works by this painter of the Drôme region of France, through October 2, 2011.
AREVA is also providing support for the renovation and extension of the Utah Beach Landing Museum in Normandy. Located on the site of the US landing on June 6, 1944, the museum tells the story of the military and technical feats that made Madeleine Beach famous.
Ever since its establishment, AREVA’s commitment to cultural philanthropy in France and abroad is a symbol of the vitality and continuity of relations between the group and its stakeholders.
