Olivier Wantz is appointed Senior Executive Vice President, Mining Business Group. He replaces Sébastien de Montessus, who decided to leave the group. Olivier Wantz remains member of the Executive Board. He reports to Luc Oursel, Chief Executive Officer.
Carolle Foissaud is appointed Senior Executive Vice President, Operations Support. She replaces Oliver Wantz. She reports to Philippe Knoche, Chief Operating Officer. She is a member of the Executive Management Board (EMB).
These appointments will be effective as from March 31, 2012.
Olivier Wantz is a graduate of the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises in Paris and of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He joined SIEMENS in 1983 where he held various positions first in the field of medical engineering, then in 1995 in telecommunications within the Australian subsidiary. In 2000 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of SIEMENS Transportation System. Olivier Wantz joined AREVA in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer of the subsidiary AREVA NP. In 2010 he was appointed Engineering and Projects Senior Executive Vice President. Since June 2011, he has been Senior Executive Vice President, Operations Support and member of the Executive Board.
Carolle Foissaud is a graduate of École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications. She began her career with Thomson in 1991 as a Systems Design Engineer. She joined the “Fuel” Business Unit of AREVA NP in 1995 and became Head of the Fuel Rod Department. Then she joined FCI in 2000, the former connectors subsidiary of the AREVA group, and was named Director of Industrialization at the automotive plant in Epernon, France, before joining the Plants Business Unit in 2003. There, among other positions, she was Chief of Staff to the Senior Executive VP of the BU and Deputy to the Proposal Manager for the Chinese EPR™ reactors. In 2007, Carolle Foissaud became Head of division within the Propulsion Energy sector of AREVA TA, then in charge of the “Reactors and Services” division. Since July 2009, Carolle Foissaud has been Executive Vice President of the Cleanup Business Unit.
