As part of its ACTION 2016 strategic action plan, the AREVA group is strengthening its organization in the Asia-Pacific region, where the energy market has the strongest growth prospects.
The creation of an Asia-Pacific Region* signals the Group’s determination to offer its customers and prospects a regional presence to more effectively promote its nuclear offering in reactors, fuel, treatment and recycling, while expanding its renewable operations.
More than 20% of AREVA’s sales revenue is already realized in Asia-Pacific.
The new region will be directed by Rémy Autebert.
Rémy Autebert is a graduate of the Hautes études commerciales business school (HEC).
He began his career with COGEMA in 1976. After assuming financial responsibilities in several entities of the company, he was appointed deputy CFO of COGEMA in 1993. In December 1998, he became deputy director of the Engineering and Industrial Services division. In June 2000, he was appointed director of AREVA’s Mining Business Unit and, in 2004, became director of the Mining Chemistry Enrichment Sector. In January 2007, Rémy Autebert was appointed president of AREVA Japan.
* The Asia-Pacific Region includes the following countries and geographic areas: China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Southeast Asia and Pacific Oceania.
