FBFC (French acronym for Franco-Belgian Fuel Fabrication), a subsidiary of AREVA, is a manufacturer of fuel assemblies for nuclear reactors of the PWR type (Pressurized Water Reactor). FBFC comprises three sites, one of which is at Pierrelatte in Tricastin. Founded in 1983, this site produces support grids for PWR fuel assemblies and grids for MOX assemblies

Certified environmental and safety management

The FBFC Pierrelatte plant has the ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system and the OHSAS 18001 certification for occupational health and safety.

Visits are only permitted in a professional context.

Site tour

Due to counter-terrorism measures, the site is no longer open to the general public.

However, a visitors tour program has been created so the public can still view the facilities on the Tricastin nuclear site: "A tour around the site", every Thursday from April to September

Following a half-hour indoor presentation, a guided bus tour will be conducted with two stops to highlight environmental issues and issues related to integration with the surrounding areas.
