FBFC Romans: fuel production

FBFC, a subsidiary of AREVA, is the leading global producer of fuel assemblies for nuclear reactors of the PWR type (Pressurized Water Reactor). FBFC comprises three sites, one of which is at Romans. This facility produces UO2 powder, as well as pellets, nozzles, fuel rods, and fuel assemblies for pressurized water reactors (PWRs). FBFC, a major force in the Rhône-Alpes regional economy, employs 830 persons.
A double certification
FBFC Romans has been awarded the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certifications, which involve adherence to rigorous environmental and social requirements.
