MSIS: cleanliness and safety of worksites

A wide array of activities

MSIS employs 64 people across two fields: nuclear activities and environmental activities. Its headquarters is in Gif-sur-Yvette, near Paris.

MSIS offers an entire line of services for companies of the nuclear sector, including:

• Ventilation and filtration (absolute filters and iodine traps).
• Inspection and analysis of radioactivity, especially the categorization of wastes, and decontamination.
• Radiation protection, especially mapping, protection, and dosimetric analysis.
• Approval of clean rooms for microelectronics and the pharmaceutical industry.
• Monitoring of work environments for offices and workshops.
• Monitoring of atmospheric pollution levels and analysis of pollutants.

As part of its R& program, MSIS has developed a an inspection system for iodine trap leakage rates using a tracer, thereby replacing other methods currently on the market. The company has submitted an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.

Qualifications and Certifications

Thanks to its policy promoting quality and security, MSIS has received the following certifications:

• COFRAC ESSAIS accreditations (programs 144, 94, and 97).
• Certification in the field of security of the workplace (asbestos, benzene, lead, dust, ventilation of facilities...)
• Qualification from the French Minister of Economy and Finances for radiation protection.

MSIS
