AREVA provides services for the operation of processing, conditioning, and storage facilities for nuclear waste with low to medium activity, and the clean-up and dismantling of nuclear sites at the end of their service life.

The operation of waste processing facilities

On behalf of its customers and in its capacity as an industrial operator, AREVA provides operations for:

low- and medium-level nuclear waste treatment facilities,
decontamination facilities,
dismantling sites,
waste storage facilities,
rinsing stations.

The teams take charge of the entire process (production, maintenance, procurement) with the requisite safety and protection level. They adapt to existing organizational structures. They make skills available to match customer requirements.

Testimony from customers such as CEA and ANDRA bears witness to AREVA's renowned experience in this field for over 40 years.

Triade - AREVA's decontamination facility

For the past 15 years, AREVA has operated its own decontamination facility - Triade. Identified as a Classified Facility for the Protection of the Environment, this site receives and processes customer waste.

Triade has a working surface area of 2,000 square meters, a controlled area that can be separated into cells, as required.

Some cells can be made available to customers, to enable them to maintain their equipment in a secure environment.

It also has 4,000 square meters of storage space for waste, contaminated materials, or machines.
