Global Site Support Services
The business unit’s main focus is the management and full performance of maintenance and repair logistics for nuclear power plants, whether they are running or experiencing unit outage. Its objective: to enable the various parties to carry out their jobs while fully meeting radiological safety and protection rules.
The business unit provides a range of global services:
- Works logistics: waste conditioning and management, rigging and lifting, conventional and nuclear clean-up, asbestos removal work
- Support logistics: maintenance, tool management, decontamination facility management
- Operational radiation protection on worksites while handling shipping and the management of radiation protection stores: checks and measurements
- Scaffolding, thermal insulation, and high-elevation work: installation and removal
- The coordination and control of the preceding activities, particularly during periods known as “Operating outages” and “Shutdown outages” in nuclear power plants
AREVA's capacity for mobilization in these areas (700 people across France) is an advantage, contributing greatly to worksite efficiency and effectiveness.
