Environmental monitoring
The protection of the environment is very important to AREVA La Hague. The facility has an ongoing policy for reducing the impact of its activity on health and on the natural environment. The company makes great efforts in the monitoring of the environment: over a hundred samples and analyses are carried out every day.
Commitment: zero impact on the environment
Like all industrial sites, AREVA La Hague discharges waste into the environment. It is committed to limiting its impact as far as possible.
The monitoring program
AREVA La Hague continuously monitors the impact of its activities on the environment: through a constant measurement of wastes and routine sampling around the site.
Monitoring structure
A team of specialists works on the environmental monitoring program at the AREVA La Hague site. They operate under the supervision of the ASN.
Liquid and gaseous waste testing report
AREVA La Hague reports the findings from its waste monitoring every month. Measurements from station-villages are taken every day.
Environmental measurement report
Every month, the AREVA reports the findings of sample analyses conducted on samples taken various marine and land-based ecosystems.

Radioactivity measurement units
