AREVA DONGFANG (China): manufacturing of reactor coolant pump sets

The AREVA equipments business has a presence in China through the AREVA DONGFANG joint venture founded in 2005. This company manufactures reactor coolant pumps designed by JSPM intended for the domestic Chinese market.

AREVA DONGFANG, a subsidiary of AREVA and DEC, is a joint venture created in August 2005 by JSPM and DFEM:

JSPM: a subsidiary of AREVA specializing in solutions for pumps and mechanisms.
DFEM: a subsidiary of DEC, a Chinese company specialized in electricity production equipment manufacturing.

This joint venture manufactures reactor coolant pump units of JSPM design intended for the domestic market.

The site, based in Deyang in the province of Sichuan, has a 6000m&up2; assembly workshop. The plant has been operational since September 2007 and employs 17 AREVA employees.
