CANBERRA, a subsidiary of the AREVA group, is world leader in nuclear measuring. The Harwell site, near Oxford, designs and installs measuring and monitoring systems for the nuclear industry and for dismantling programs.

CANBERRA UK operations include the design of systems for monitoring reactor core fuel (AGR type), and solutions for measuring nuclear materials in power plant storage installations.
Dismantling
For many years CANBERRA UK has worked with the NDA (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) to supply detection equipment and measuring systems for civilian or military sites being decommissioned.
Teams of physicists, specially dedicated to core sites, oversee dismantling and waste management operations on a daily basis.
