For more than 40 years, CANBERRA has designed and manufactured a full range of instrumentation and nuclear measuring systems for radiation protection. The skills of its 1100 employees and 9 production sites around the world enable CANBERRA to deliver high quality services to its customers, which include research and monitoring laboratories, nuclear power plants, states and international monitoring organizations.

Manufacture and maintenance of radiation protection systems

CANBERRA Loches specializes in the manufacture, sales and maintenance of nuclear measuring systems. The systems are:

• individual electronic gamma dosimeters,
• radiation meters, instrumentation and sensors for all types of radiation,
• contamination meters,
• alpha, beta and gamma staff monitoring gantries for use at restricted zonal entry or exit points,
• gamma and gamma-neutron radiological monitoring terminals for people and vehicles.

Other major tasks of the site:

• Design new products with a team of multidisciplinary engineers, 
• Provide customer services: maintenance operations and repair, calibration, installation of equipment on site.

CANBERRA Loches is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001-certified. These international certifications guarantee that its production, installation and after-sales support activities meet the most stringent quality standards and ensure the sustainable implementation of the environment, health and safety approach.

The calibration laboratory of CANBERRA Loches is accredited No. 2-1780; available on www.cofrac.fr.

Specialist equipment

The CANBERRA Loches site also produces the Cartogram industrial gamma camera for plant dismantling markets as well as gas-fill detectors (Geiger Müller and helium-3 neutron detectors).
