Triple certification

Assembly of a control rod cluster drive mechanism in the JSPM plant

The JSPM plant at Jeumont is committed to adhering to strict conditions in terms of quality, security, health, and environmental protection. Three certifications bear witness to compliance with these requirements in accordance with the applicable standards and codes: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.

The management system for the JSPM facility is based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.

  • ISO 9001 version 2000: bringing together the quality management principles present in standards ISO 9000 and 9004, this standard is a step towards a total quality management. Compared to previous versions, it goes into greater depth than general guidelines: customer orientation, systematic approach, ongoing improvements.
  • ISO 14001: this standard relates to the environmental management system. It lists 18 requirements based within 6 broad themes: intentions of the facility in environmental terms, objectives, planning, implementation of planned initiatives, checks and corrective actions, management review.
  • OHSAS 18001: this standard vouches for strict and effective occupational health and safety management.

All the products and services of JSPM also meet the requirements of international nuclear standards such as RCC-M (France), ASME (USA) and NNSA (China).
