CETIC: training and qualifying maintenance personnel

At the CETIC center, operational techniques and methods for pressurized water nuclear steam supply systems are created and qualified. AREVA relies on the center’s expertise in the various preparatory phases for operations in nuclear power plants. It is located in Saint-Marcel, France.
Founded by EDF and AREVA, CETIC is the only center in France capable of recreating the access and operating conditions of the main components of a PWR reactor system.
New service tools and techniques are qualified at CETIC, and service personnel undergo training sessions. By developing new service methodologies, AREVA continues to provide customer-focused solutions and services that enhance power plant safety and performance while reducing outage durations and costs.
This exceptional 4,000 square meter facility boasts specialized resources, including real-size components for a pressurized water reactor (PWR):
- Vessel
- Internal equipment
- Steam generators
- Fuel loading and transfer devices
- Pressurizer
- Coolant pump
- Reactor cavity
