The Installed Base business unit (BU), in charge of nuclear services in existing reactors, functions like an international organization. Customers benefit from the ensemble of resources, skills and equipment available throughout the world. The BU also proposes local offers and personalized services, adapted as well as possible to customers’ needs.
In order to carry out its work, the Installed Base nuclear services business unit possesses all of the resources for developing and classifying the implemented processes and tools.

Regional teams
Regional teams guarantee their customers a local and continuous personalized service. They are essentially spread across the following countries:
- 1,640 employees in France: AREVA and its subsidiaries Intercontrôle and CTE-Nordtest
- 960 employees in Germany: AREVA and its subsidiary IntelligeNDT
- 920 employees people in the United States: AREVA and its subsidiary SGT
Local representatives
The business unit has specialist local representatives able to offer custom services to customers:
- Sweden: AREVA NP Engineering specializes in nuclear maintenance, consulting, analysis, repairs, modernization, unit outages and engineering services. Its 130 employees also operate on an international level.
- Spain: AREVA NP Services Spain has extensive experience in nuclear services, in particular in maintenance and mechanical components. This subsidiary operates in Spain and abroad.
- South Africa: LESEDI Nuclear Services, an engineering and services company for the nuclear industry. Its services include project management, design studies, maintenance, industrial engineering and staffing. The company employs more than 200 engineers and technicians.
- China – SNE (Shenzhen Nuclear Engineering Company) carries out routine maintenance, modernization programs for modifications and technical implementations on nuclear power plants. The company benefits from many years of experience accumulated in the construction of equipment and employs more than 300 specialists.
- Canada – AREVA Canada carries out work on the Canadian market in a large range of nuclear services and business support, in particular in the fields of non-destructive examination, decontamination, engineering services, electrical services for instrumentation and control, inspections and the designing new reactors.
The external resources, partnerships and subcontractors serve as a complement to the business unit’s internal resources, within the framework of its subcontracting policy.
