The Installed Base business unit (BU) is structured to achieve an optimal balance between global reach and local presence.

It is able to mobilize resources, skills and equipment throughout the world and provide customers with local offers and personalized services.

International expertise

With nearly 5,000 specialists worldwide, the Installed Base business unit can quickly deploy highly qualified, experienced teams to meet customers’ specific needs at over 100 nuclear power plants.

The Busines Unit has all the resources necessary to develop and certify implemented processes and tools.

Installed Base ensures that services are carried out in accordance with strict principles:

  • Perform services anywhere and at any moment at the request of its customers
  • Implement the most up-to-date technologies and analysis methods
  • Respect each country’s regulatory requirements
  • Guarantee the highest safety standards while carrying out projects

The BU relies on its strong ties with leading utilities, industries and governmental authorities worldwide. Its original approach is characterized by:

  • partnership models that are as flexible as possible,
  • a set of integrated, tailored solutions,
  • long-term alliance contracts with customers.

Installed Base works with a variety of international customers:

  • Europe: EDF (France), GDF Suez (France), RWE (Germany), Vattenfall (Sweden), etc.
  • United States: Exelon, Duke Energy, TVA, AmerenUE, Constellation, etc.
  • Asia: CGNPC (China), CNNC (China), Kansai (South Korea), etc.

A regional presence

Regional teams guarantee their customers a local and continuous personalized service. They are essentially spread across the following countries:

  • 2,000 employees in France: AREVA and it subsidiary Intercontrôle
  • 1,500 employees in Germany: AREVA and its subsidiary IntelligeNDT
  • 1,000 employees people in the United States: AREVA and its subsidiary SGT

 The BU has specialized local representatives that offer tailored services to customers:

Sweden

AREVA NP Uddcomb specializes in nuclear maintenance, consulting, analysis, repairs, modernization, unit outages and engineering services. Its 130 employees also operate on an international level.

Spain

AREVA NP Services Spain has extensive experience in nuclear services, particularly in maintenance and mechanical components. This subsidiary operates in Spain and abroad.

South Africa 

Lesedi Nuclear Services, a nuclear engineering and services company, offers services covering project management, design studies, maintenance, industrial engineering and staffing. The company employs more than 200 engineers and technicians.

China

SNE (Shenzhen Nuclear Engineering Company) carries out routine maintenance as well as modernization and modification programs. The company has extensive experience in equipment construction and employs more than 300 specialists.

Canada

AREVA Canada carries out work in the Canadian market in a large range of nuclear service and business support fields. In particular, it offers non-destructive examinations, decontamination, engineering services, electrical systems for instrumentation and control, inspections and new reactor design.
