Power plant life cycle management and optimization of outages are key elements of facility performance.
Integrated services to minimize the duration of unit outages
AREVA offers to handle all activities linked with unit outages, including the initial planning and organization phase.
This integrated offer enables a reduction in the number of interfaces generated by the multiple operations carried out during an outage as well as maintenance lead times. Facility downtime is consequently reduced.
A comprehensive range of services
Participating in more than 110 unit outages each year across the globe, multidisciplinary and highly qualified teams offer a comprehensive range of services:
- Opening/closing of reactor vessel
- Refueling
- Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Technical assistance
- A range of operations to inspect and maintain heavy and mobile components, pipework and valves
Complementary specialized activities
The offer also includes specialized activities such as:
- the replacement of heavy and mobile components,
- modifications to increase the power output of the plant,
- system improvements and related engineering and safety studies,
- maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components relating to the instrumentation of the core and instrumentation and control systems,
- services relating to the lancing or cleaning of steam generators,
- decontamination of circuit equipment in order to reduce dosimetry,
- implementation of diagnostic and surveillance systems that also contribute to the safety and availability of the power plant,
- spare parts: an internet-based spare parts service available 24/7 offers a real-time response to the needs of plant operators.
Heavy component management programs
AREVA also offers its customers complete management programs for steam generators, closure heads and pressurizers. They cover every aspect of the operation of heavy components, including the actual status of every one of their components.
This type of program offers plant operators a global and optimum solution:
- project management,
- component replacement studies,
- safety analyses,
- design, manufacture and installation of new components,
- processing of replaced components,
- regulatory aspects (licensing).
Coupled with calculation models and predictive techniques, these programs enable optimum operating conditions to be defined, according to the performance and profitability objectives set by plant operators.
