AREVA Tricastin: Nuclear Safety and Radioprotection Report 2010
According to the law concerning nuclear transparency and safety (NTS), AREVA Tricastin publishes the latest edition of its annual report. A real discussion opener, this “nuclear safety and radioprotection report” enables the monitoring of AREVA’s actions and results at their Tricastin industrial site and, in so, doing ensuring information flow and transparency.
The 2010 edition has evolved with a more educational and accessible approach to information on our activities. There is a new, more comprehensive chapter devoted to nuclear safety and radioprotection, as well as, for the first time, evaluated data, presented on the scale of the AREVA Tricastan site, for a more global vision of the impact of our activities on the environment.

In addition to Tricastan’s 2010 environmental report, evaluated data and information on nuclear safety and radioprotection of the AREVA Tricastan site gives a global view of our activities on the environment.
Health Risk Assessment (HRA) study
In light of the current rapid pace of change, the AREVA group in Tricastin has asked INERIS (the French National Institute for the Industrial Environment and Risks) to conduct a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) study on the risks associated with the operations of the industrial facilities in Tricastin.
This involves evaluating the impact of our industrial activities for the period from 2006 to 2010/2012 taking conservative estimates by totaling up the waste produced by existing facilities and the Georges Besse II facility, without taking into account periods of inactivity, in the interests of averting any potential risks to the local inhabitants.
Naturally, the findings of this study will be of interest to those residing near the river, and so AREVA has decided to make them available to the public.
