Health Risk Assessment (HRA) study
In light of the current rapid pace of change, the AREVA group in Tricastin has asked INERIS (the French National Institute for the Industrial Environment and Risks) to conduct a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) study on the risks associated with the operations of the industrial facilities in Tricastin.
This involves evaluating the impact of our industrial activities for the period from 2006 to 2010/2012 taking conservative estimates by totaling up the waste produced by existing facilities and the Georges Besse II facility, without taking into account periods of inactivity, in the interests of averting any potential risks to the local inhabitants.
Naturally, the findings of this study will be of interest to those residing near the river, and so AREVA has decided to make them available to the public.
