Olivier Rixe, MD, PhD, is an internationally recognized expert in the field of developmental therapeutics in Oncology. Dr. Rixe received his M.D. from the Pierre and Marie Curie University of Paris in 1993, and completed 4 years of training in medical oncology and internal medicine in Paris. He joined in 1992 the laboratory of Tito Fojo at the NCI's Medical Oncology Branch. Following his training at the NCI,
Dr. Rixe received his Ph.D. from the University Paris 7 in Paris, France. He served as a senior medical oncologist at Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital in Paris, then in the Phase 1 Unit at Gustave Roussy Institute in Villejuif, France. Dr Rixe was appointed Professor of Medical Oncology in 2003 at Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6). In 2008, Dr. Rixe joined the Medicine Branch at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD as a staff clinician.
In 2009, Dr. Rixe came to the University of Cincinnati as a Professor of Medicine and assumed the position of director of the Experimental Therapeutics Program. Dr. Rixe has published more than 120 peer-reviewed papers.
In 2012, Dr. Rixe joined Georgia Health Sciences University in Atlanta, GA, as professor of medicine and director of the experimental therapeutics program in the hematology / oncology division.
