Christine A. White, MD, a medical oncologist and hematologist, was with Biogen Idec, from 1996 to 2005, where she held several senior positions, including Senior Vice President, Global Medical Affairs and played a key role in the clinical development, and commercialization of Rituxan® the first monoclonal antibody approved for the treatment of malignancy and Zevalin® the first radioimmunotherapy approved in the US and Europe.
From 1994 to 1996, Dr. White served as Director, Clinical Oncology Research at Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in San Diego and from 1984 to 1994 served on the clinical staff at Scripps Memorial Hospitals in La Jolla and Encinitas, Calif., where she was Medical Director, Oncology Research and Chair, Dept of Medicine. Dr. White currently serves on the board of directors at Arena Pharmaceuticals and Genoptix Inc. She completed her B.A, M.D. and Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago and fellowship at UCSD and the Salk Institute.
She has authored over 60 scientific publications and is an inventor on multiple US and international patents.
