AREVA Resources Senegal: exploration
AREVA Resources Senegal is currently in the exploration phase in the region of Saraya to the east of Senegal.
Linked to AREVA since July 2007, AREVA Resources Senegal is the exploration subsidiary of AREVA Resources Southern in Senegal. It has an administrative center in Dakar.
The exploration team, composed of around 10 people, works under 2 exploration licenses in East Saraya, 650 kilometers southeast of Dakar. An exploration campaign was launched during 2008 in this area. Initial tests are underway, and the first results are expected in mid-2010.
In addition, AREVA is awaiting complementary permits in the region that will enable the reinforcement of onsite activities.
