The Chemistry business unit’s operations are divided among 4 industrial sites in southeast France: AREVA Pierrelatte and COMURHEX Pierrelatte at the Tricastin site, AREVA Malvesi in Aude and AREVA Miramas in Bouches-du-Rhône.

AREVA Pierrelatte is located at the Tricastin site in Drôme. It specializes in uranium chemistry.

COMURHEX Pierrelatte: from UF4 to UF6

COMURHEX Pierrelatte converts the uranium tetrafluoride from AREVA Malvési into uranium hexafluoride, the final step before enrichment.

AREVA Miramas: end of operations

AREVA Miramas, in Bouches-du-Rhône, has ceased lithium and boron production. AREVA now is dismantling and cleaning up the site.
