AREVA Miramas

The AREVA Miramas site is located near the communities of Istres and Miramas in Bouches-du-Rhône. The facility has ceased all industrial operations. Its principal purpose was to produce light isotopes, lithium and boron, in the form of pure products and non-radioactive alloys. In 2009, the group dismantled, cleaned up and reclaimed the site.
Dismantling, cleanup, and reclamation
After manufacturing light isotopes for nearly 40 years, the site is in the process of being reclaimed and prepared for re-industrialization.
Site certifications
AREVA Miramas is OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certified for its system of environmental, health and safety management.
Environmental monitoring
AREVA Miramas continually monitors the environment for releases into the air and water, waste, power consumption, etc.
Sustainable development initiatives
The Miramas site is shutting down definitive operations and undergoing reclamation as part of a comprehensive and responsible managerial policy.
Stakeholder dialogue
Identify, consult and take action...stakeholder dialogue is important to AREVA Miramas.
