AREVA Pierrelatte: uranium chemistry
AREVA Pierrelatte is located at the Tricastin site and has almost 1,000 employees. This facility specializes in uranium chemistry and is involved in various stages of the nuclear fuel cycle.
Operations: the chemistry of uranium
The site is involved at various stages in the nuclear fuel cycle: transformation of depleted UF6 and the development of processed uranium.
Since 2006, AREVA Pierrelatte has held triple certification for its policies on the environment, quality and occupational health and safety.
The Tricastin plants constantly strive to limit their environmental impact. The surrounding environment is subject to constant testing.
At Tricastin, as elsewhere, AREVA’s sustainable development policy covers environmental, social and humanitarian issues.
