OHSAS 18001 for health and safety

The health and safety policy of AREVA Miramas is in compliance with the OHSAS 18001 standard.

The site takes action to achieve its goal of "zero accidents" using:

• Specific tools (especially the unique risk evaluation document), workplace safety analyses (including all of the tasks contracted to external companies), visits by safety participants, visits from installation safety

• Individual competence, correctly developed and maintained at a permanent level, in a culture of responsibility and respect for procedures

• An organization strongly focused on installation managers, workplace safety and medicine, the adherence of all and setting examples on the part of management

ISO 14001 for the environment

In terms of the environment, the ISO 14001-certified management system includes:

• The management of industrial processes to prevent any accidental situations, thus guaranteeing the safety of personnel, and preservation of the environment and property

• The dismantling of installations using the techniques best adapted to good waste management and optimizing the possibilities for utilization
• The rehabilitation of soil for future use of the site and in accordance with territorial strategies and local economic development

• The continuous tracking of environmental impact and its limitation, both by reduction of consumption and by the prevention of pollution and management of emergency situations
