The Fuel business unit manages all processes related to the design and production of nuclear fuel, manufacturing zirconium and its alloys through to implementing the final assembly. It designs and produces fuel assemblies for pressurized water reactors (PWRs) and boiling water reactors (BWRs), as well as for research reactors. AREVA is the leader in Europe in this area.
