Dialog with stakeholders

Identified as a strategic aspect of AREVA's sustainable development policy, dialog has taken place at local level for the creation and study of a map of external stakeholders. This constitutes a tool for the development of relations with civil society and opens up the possibility of partnerships for the re-industrialization of the site.
The dialog consists of:
- Identifying stakeholders in four areas: local media, residents and associations, elected representatives, and local authorities.
- Consultation of stakeholders regarding three areas: relationship with the site, knowledge of the site and its activities, expectations, and satisfaction.
For Miramas, the 13 stakeholders consulted in 2006 (out of a total 17 identified stakeholders) expressed a generally high level of satisfaction. The action plans associated with this result included a closer contact with local city halls, elected representatives, and local media.
