EURODIF Production: natural uranium enrichment

EURODIF Production operates the Georges Besse plant, located on the Tricastin site. the Georges Besse plant has used the gaseous diffusion process to enrich uranium for more than 30 years. Its output feeds reactors in over 100 nuclear power plants in France and around the world. The plant is gradually being replaced by the Georges Besse II plant, which began commercial production in April 2011. The Georges Besse II plant uses the centrifuge enrichment process.
Operations: natural uranium enrichment
The Georges Besse plant enriches uranium using gaseous diffusion. Georges Besse II uses centrifugation, the higher performing technology.
History
Built on the Tricastin site in 1979, EURODIF-Production's Georges Besse plant will gradually be replaced by the Georges Besse II plant.
Certifications
EURODIF Production has been awarded multiple certifications that guarantee that its operations meet the strictest of operational and environmental standards.
