Major milestones in the history of COMURHEX Pierrelatte.
- 2009: construction of COMURHEX II begins in July
- 2008: initial preparation of the terrain for the COMURHEX II construction site in Pierrelatte
- 2007:
- triple certification of the site in the domains of quality, the environment, and health and safety
- AREVA invests 610 millions euros in new uranium conversion plants (COMURHEX II)
- 2005: CEZUS Jarrie and COMURHEX Pierrelatte sign an agreement for a twinning arrangement to boost synergy in the nuclear chemistry sector
- 2004: 14,000 metric tons of UF6 processed at COMURHEX: the ambitious annual conversion target of 14,000 metric tons of uranium is achieved
- 1992: COMURHEX becomes a full subsidiary of AREVA
- 1971: Founding of COMURHEX following merger between SRU & SUCP (COMURHEX is short for COnversion Métal URanium HEXafluorure, or Uranium Hexafluoride Metal Conversion)
- 1961: Founding of SUCP (Société des Usines Chimiques de Pierrelatte, or Pierrelatte Chemical Plant Company) which produces UF6 for Gaseous Diffusion Enrichment plants
- 1959: Founding of SRU in Malvési (Société de Raffinage de l’Uranium, or Uranium Refining Company)
