Environmental measurement report

The tables show the findings from environmental measurements on the COMURHEX Malvési site for the period indicated.
Evolution of the rejections in the water of the Tauran Canal
| Elements | Limits | 2009 | 2010 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fluorine | mg/L Kg/jour | 5 5 | 8.8 4.1 | 0.4 0.4 |
| Ammonium (NH1) | mg/L Kg/jour | - 230 | 14.2 7.3 | 5 3 |
| Uranium (U) | mg/L Kg/jour | 0.8 10* | 0.096 0.057 | 0.09 0.097 |
| Nitrate (NO3) | mg/L Kg/jour | - 375 | 103 63 | 130 67 |
| Chemical oxygen demand 1 | mg/L Kg/jour | 125 1875 | <39.2** 19.1 | <22 17 |
| Suspension material 2 | mg/L Kg/jour | 30 450 | 21.5 8.9 | <4 3 |
These results are based on concentrations measured on the work areas located at the Back-end of the site.
* Daily limit value completed by an annual limit fixed to 131 kg.
** Average calculated on daily values which are often below the limits of detection.
1 Quantity of oxygen necessary for the chemical natural degradation of the oxidizible materials contained in an aqueous effluent.
2 Not dissolved products transported by liquid in movement
Evolution of the not radioactive rejections in the air
| Element (Kg/jour) | 2009 | 2010 |
|---|---|---|
| Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) | 679 | 761 |
| Ammonia (NH3) | 154 | 144 |
| Dusts | 16 | 16 |
| Fluorides | 1 | 0.3 |
The quantities of nitrogen oxides and fluorides remain relatively constant.
We notice on the other hand a decrease of the ammonia, linked to the change of process of treatment.
