Socatri: uranium purification and recovery

SOCATRI is a basic nuclear installation (BNI 138) and a Cleanup and Uranium Recovery (CUR) facility. Located on the Tricastin nuclear site, it handles maintenance and disassembly of nuclear materials, as well as treatment of nuclear and industrial effluents from AREVA Tricastin companies.

History

In 2002, SOCATRI returned its focus to its nuclear operations. Today, it is preparing to take charge of maintenance for the Georges Besse II site.

Site tour

Due to counter-terrorism measures, the site is no longer open to the general public.

However, a visitors tour program has been created so the public can still view the facilities on the Tricastin nuclear site: "A tour around the site", every Thursday afternoon in June and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in July and August.

Chance of inscriptions on other slots for groups consisting of 15 or more.
