AREVA, a responsible company committed to the extractive industries transparency initiative (EITI)

The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is a process by which government revenues generated by extractive industries are published in independently verified reports. A supporter since June 2003, AREVA was one of the first multinational corporations to participate in the EITI. Six countries in which the Group has mining operations are implementing this program for responsible development.
EITI: standards to increase transparency
Launched in 2002, the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative is aimed at promoting the development of countries that are rich in mineral resources.
AREVA’s support for the EITI
In keeping with its commitment to transparency in relation to all its stakeholders, AREVA has participated in the EITI since 2003.
AREVA’s operations: countries implementing the EITI
Niger, Gabon, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Côte d'Ivoire and the Central African Republic, all countries where the AREVA group has mining activities, have declared their support for the EITI.
"L’ITIE s’est intégrée à la gestion de nos filiales minières et à leur éthique. Ce n’est pas un processus superficiel. Elle est devenue obligatoire en interne à partir du moment où AREVA a décidé de se l’appliquer."
