As the joint initiator of the current "Experienced Manager" and "Future Executive" cycles in AREVA University's Managerial Development Line, now open to all AREVA entities, AREVA NP is continuing to run local management training programs.
These programs vary according to region. In France for example, a two-day, four-module Team Management cycle is offered. In Germany, a wide array of internal and external training courses are offered.
In the United States, People Development supports employee career development and growth. Carefully designed leadership and professional development courses have been developed to increase leadership effectiveness and to improve the overall performance of the organization. Courses are in the classroom and through e-learning. The Leadership Center provides high-potential employees skilled in key leadership competencies with opportunities to develop through networking, knowledge building, strategic project assignments, and mentoring with senior executives. The Sales & Marketing group strengthens Regional Managers and others with high-potential in sales competencies through a long-term, focused program built upon the premise: “It all starts with a sale and all sales start with the customer.”
Furthermore, as part of the Project Management Initiative a comprehensive offer was rolled out at regional level with the goal of homogenizing and developing project management skills. This training course includes the preparation of an external PMP Project Manager certification (by the Project Management Institute). Various training modules are now available in France, Germany and the United States.
Finally, advantage has been taken of AREVA NP's technical expertise to develop two in-house technical training schools. The first deals with boiler and reactor activities, in Paris (France), Offenbach and Erlangen (Germany) and the second with maintenance services and fuel, in Lyon (France) and Lynchburg (United States).
