The quality, safety and environment functions chiefly concern technicians and engineers specialized in quality, design and operating safety, occupational safety, radiation protection and safety, and health professionals. They make an active contribution to the company's overall performance through process management and continuous improvement.
Assignments
- Ensure that nuclear safety, occupational safety, radiation protection and health requirements are met,- Protect the environment,
- Prevent risks to employees and the general public,
- Implement continuous improvement processes.
Functions
- Nuclear Safety: operating safety engineer, safety specialist,- Radiation protection: radiological monitoring of installations and worksites, people and the environment, radiation protection in labs, radiation exposure and metrology,
- Security: site protection, data protection, information system security, emergency personnel (firemen),
- Occupational safety: safety manager, safety specialist,
- Health: doctors, nurses, biologists, social workers, ergonomists, occupational psychologists,
- Environment: environmental management, environmental monitoring (chemical and radiological), waste management,
- Quality and continuous improvement: product quality, quality control, quality auditing, quality approach, TQM, change management,
- Control of nuclear materials: nuclear material accountability, nuclear measurements, management of nuclear materials.
