Defective pipe discovered at Cerca Romans
A defective channel was reported during a maintenance operation on the FBFC Romans site.
The channel connects a CERCA fuel fabrication facility to a treatment station.
Monitoring measures showed the incident to have no impact on the environment.
The defective pipe was shut down by work teams, and the Drôme prefecture and French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) were immediately notified of the technical malfunction.
FBFC will propose that the ASN classify the incident as level 1 of a maximum 7 on the International Nuclear Evens Scale (INES).
