Since you have been engaged in promoting sustainable development, what main changes have you felt like bringing to your life?

It is possible and exciting to select, with the family, a set of eco-efficiency objectives. We have thus altered our choices of heating system, transport modes and our household consumables. But we have quickly run into limits or shortcomings of the local infrastructure when we compare France with other countries where we have lived.
Moreover when one is jetting from conferences to meetings like I do, one also faces the sarcasm of children and friends. As I cannot yet see how to advocate for sustainable development without leaving my garden I have started to plant lots of trees to keep me carbon neutral.

Rejoining the world of sustainable development satisfied a need for meaning; working for sustainable development has made me aware of the stakes. Now, I am probably more careful about turning lights and taps off, buying fair trade products, sorting rubbish according to type... let us say, about having a coherent attitude - an attitude I try to impart to my family, my children in particular. In your opinion, should we - or can we - consider a company as a responsible entity and, as such, accountable to society at large?
Which would be, in your view, the first two obvious signs that a company is seriously committed to sustainable development? And who is to evaluate the reality and authenticity of the criteria you apply?
Is SD an "in" concept, a necessary mutation, improvements to be invented, a world vision, a technocratic creation, a new consciousness, history in progress, a challenge for the XXIst century, a point in a cycle... or something else?
Since you have been engaged in promoting sustainable development, what main changes have you felt like bringing to your life?
