An alumnus of the Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole des Mines de Paris, Yves Martin has spent his career in various capacities with the French ministries of Industry and the Environment. He chaired the Inter-ministerial Greenhouse Gas Mission from 1990 to 1995 and the governmental body to assess energy conservation policy between 1995 and 1996.
