In your opinion, what has been most challenged within the group by AREVA's commitment to a sustainable development policy?

Our culture, deeply anchored in hi technology and engineering, and our tradition regarding quality, safety and security, have set the basis for our commitment to this new approach. On the other hand, the nuclear sector had a reputation for not being open; indeed, it has developed over a very short period of time, and some may have seen it as a fait accompli, depriving citizens of all participation.  However, like other forms of energy, it deserves due and objective consideration, particularly with regard to planetary impact. It is thus necessary to sit around the table, to listen and debate, to explain and take stock. We have engaged in dialog with NGOs, rating agencies for overall industrial responsibility, inspection bodies, international authorities, minority shareholder representatives... with all stakeholders. There is still much to do, if only to open a few doors.

If sustainable development brings about a new managerial system, what are the benefits?
Can a corporate entity be trusted to act responsibly?
In industrial terms, is sustainable development an "in" concept, a technocratic creation, a new consciousness... or something else? ?
