If your association has a project that meets the Foundation's criteria, you may download and fill out the form.

Selection criteria

Before submitting your project, please consider the following criteria:

 Type of project
The AREVA Foundation only supports projects concerning these central themes:
  North / South development
  knowledge sharing
  energy and climate change

The central themes are developed through the following topics:
  childhood
  health care
  development
  energy / environment.

 Project location

The project must take place in a country where AREVA has operations, preferably close to one of our sites.

Project advocates

The Foundation finances only those projects submitted by associations in existence for at least 3 years, foundations or NGOs. Administrative and legal documents demonstrating the association/organisation's existence and financial soundness are requested.

The Foundation does not provide support for personal projects.

Expertise and Professionalism of the association

Project advocates must be experienced. They must also have an excellent knowledge of the field (socio-economic and educational conditions, environmental issues, etc.) at both local and national levels.

Project feasibility
The project must be:
  long-lasting, and not be financed solely by the Foundation
  financially and administratively autonomous in the long run
  described in detail, including clearly-defined objectives and a business plan

The AREVA Foundation does not finance:

  Sporadic events (exhibitions, colloquia, events, gala dinners, etc.)
  Projects located in countries where AREVA has no operations
  Projects run individually (study abroad, student exchanges, etc.)
  Projects with no concrete results (observatories, etc.)
  Operating expenses for associative bodies (wages, lease payments, etc.)
  Humanitarian raids, expeditions, etc.

Submitting your project - required steps

Once you are sure that your project meets the Foundation's selection criteria, you may:

File follow-up

Your complete file -- finalised project along with the requested legal and financial documents - is evaluated by the Foundation team. If it meets the Foundation's criteria, it is submitted to the Patronage and Partnerships Committee which meets once per quarter. You will be informed by mail of the Committee's decision.

An agreement is signed for each project supported by the AREVA Foundation; the agreement governs and defines the framework for the partnership between the association and the AREVA Foundation, along with the duties and obligations of both parties.
