The Engineering business unit's offer mainly focuses on:

 the design and construction of new nuclear installations

 the modification and optimization of existing installations.

The group's operations form the backbone of major international technology projects. Its skills, strengthened by a solid experience acquired on installations over almost 50 years, make the business unit an added-value partner for its customers.

It also provides services of technology transfer worldwide: in Europe, Asia and in Northern America.

 Customers

The business unit's customers are global commercial nuclear facility operators.

In addition to the group's internal customers, the business unit provides engineering services to public entities such as the Commissionership to Atomic Energy (French CEA) or the National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management (Andra, in France).

It offers services such as:

 decommissioning programs and waste/effluent retrieval and processing (for CEA and EDF)

 waste management studies (for Andra)

 waste management and MOX in the United-States (for the DOE, American Department Of Energy)

 vitrification equipment supply, testing operations and employees' training  in the United-Kingdom (for the Nuclear Decommissioning Agency and BNG - British Nuclear Group)

 equipment supply and assistance for the launch of the fuel processing plant in Rokkasho-Mura, Japan (for JNFL - Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited).

Moreover, the business unit is the worldwide leader in uranium defluorination - front-end - and treatment-recycling - back-end.

 Locations

The business unit is mainly located in North America and in Asia (Japan, South Korea).

In France, it is located in the North both in La Hague and in the Paris area and in the South-East (Marcoule and Pierrelatte) .

Within the AREVA group, Engineering operations are handled by AREVA NC.
