The Nuclear measurement business unit designs, manufactures and sells turnkey systems and instruments to detect and measure radioactivity.
Due to the very nature of its activities - nuclear safety, security and monitoring of its customers' industrial operations - the business unit fully contributes to the deployment of the group's sustainable development policy. Safety and security are absolute priorities for AREVA
With more than 20% market share, the business unit is the world leader in this sector.

The Nuclear measurement business unit's customers are mainly nuclear operators, research laboratories, the medical sector and governmental services.
In addition to these customers, the group serves public and private organizations in charge of radiation monitoring at national borders, as well as emergency response teams and the armed forces.
North America remains the world's largest market and accounts for more than half the group's sales in the sector.
