Bioenergies
AREVA has about 100 bioenergy power plants in operation or under construction worldwide representing more than 2,500 MW of installed capacity.
The bioenergy projects built by AREVA contribute to saving more than 3 million tons of CO2 equivalent per year.
A successful project is the result of an early partnership between promoters and the solutions provider. When involved in a project at the pre-engineering stage, we help choose the best solution in terms of technology and design based on fuel characteristics and project economics. We can propose a wide range of technologies: combustion, anaerobic digestion and heat recovery.
Key success factors are expertise and innovation. Our access to the best technology and manufacturing capacity, supported by cost-effective and innovative engineering resources is a guarantee that the power plant we build for our customer meets all requirements.
As an integrator, we can select the most suitable components and services on the market with the support of an extensive engineering and manufacturing control capacity. We source our equipment from the best suppliers, finding a balance between technological performance, long term reliability and competitiveness.
From the analysis of your energy resources to the design and commissioning of a turnkey plant, we accompany our customers through the entire project life cycle. In addition, we assist our customers in getting the most out of carbon credits which are generated by the renewable energy projects we implement. The higher the efficiency of a power plant is, the more it can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and obtain carbon credits.
We have operating units and branches in Europe (France, Germany), Latin America (Brazil) and Asia (India, China). Each one has a skills center and local resources which can offer tailor-made projects implemented in association with local industries.
