The Products business unit designs, manufactures, markets and installs products dedicated to the electricity transportation and distribution networks. Its full range of high and medium voltage products is designed to transport and distribute electricity from the power plant to the final user.

The group appears among the only 3 global actors in the high and medium voltage switchgear markets.

The business unit provides specialized equipment for:

 high voltage power transmission (52 kV-800 kV): conventional equipment, insulated substations, instrument transformers and power transformers

 medium voltage primary and secondary power distribution (1 kV-52 kV): compact transformer substations, distribution transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, engine starting cells and lightning arrestors

 substation control and safety.

 Customers

Through its transmission and distribution operations, AREVA serves more than 30,000 customers in 160 countries worldwide.

Its customers are:

 power companies that manage the entire process of electricity generation, transmission and distribution, from the power plant to the final user

 transmission companies

 public and private distribution companies

 major industrial power users

 infrastructure companies such as airports and railway networks.

 Locations

The business unit operates production units in 24 countries over 5 continents.

These sites include:

 manufacturing and assembly sites, near the location of major actors of electricity transmission and distribution

 other sites dedicated to final product adaptation based on local customer requirements.
