7 training campaigns and 99 Japanese trainees since 2001

As part of a cooperative agreement between COGEMA* and JNFL (Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited), the COGEMA* plant, operating in reprocessing spent fuel, based in La Hague (France) welcomed 7 groups of Japanese trainees destined to be the operators of the Rokkasho Mura plant, a twin of the COGEMA* La Hague plant.

The training was carried out in a spirit of true partnership with the Japanese company JNFL.

Three mentors in each facility provided training to two-person groups of Japanese for a total of fourteen weeks of training in operations, maintenance and radiation protection.
