46 volunteers for solidarity missions with Planète Urgence

"I went on a two-week mission to Niger, where I gave computer classes to young people at Radio Goudel. It's always a rewarding experience to meet others.

Meeting people who live in a developing country, learning how things work, what their values are - like sharing, solidarity, mutual support, the desire for knowledge, justice, democracy, openness to the outside world, common sense and a good sense of humor - add depths of meaning to the experience."

Marie-Pascale Jamault-Eymard - Volunteer employee of the AREVA group

"In 15 days of training, I learned more than during the 2 years that I was a student in a private institute in Niger. Every evening, after class, I went over my notes again. And I still read them today. After the training, two other trainees and I decided to give classes to others.

Now I'd like to have training in computer maintenance, because the computers often crash and it costs a lot to repair them. But training in Niger is too expensive for me. Maybe other volunteers will come to teach me."
